Welcome to Nepal Village Foundation (NVF) website. NVF is a London based small grassroots organisation. We work very closely with local NGOs and groups to improve the livelihoods of the Dalits and the poorest of the poor people in the rural villages of Nepal.

Nepal is one of the poorest countries in south east Asia where more than half of the population live under the poverty line. In the rural part of Nepal average life expectancy is about 56 years for men and 54 years for women. Nepal is only country in the world where women die before men. More than seventy five percent of women are illiterate in the rural parts of Nepal and girls are unmotivated to go school for various reasons.

Therefore Nepal Village Foundation is focusing on empowering women, educating girls, improving health, sanitation, supporting farmers to grow better and more diverse crops and promoting eco-tourism for economic development.

Our Commitment

NVF’s board members will make sure that our partner organisations reach out to the most distant of the rural villages and work closely with the poorest and Dallits families. So their children will be in school. We will support them through micro credit system to create sustainable livelihoods opportunities. Provide training and support for better health, empower women to increase their participation in local democracy, construction of social needs and family planning so families conditions will improve.

NVF’s board members will also make sure that every single penny given to us by the donors will be invested efficiently and wisely in the most needy places to give you the better value for money. We will also keep you up to date with, how and where we have spent your money and all the feedback.

As improving the livelihoods of the poorest of the poor and Dallits in the rural part of Nepal is NVF’s wider goal, we will monitor all the activities carried out by our partner organisations and provide you with an reliable feedback to understand the impact of the projects.

Please make your contribution today to support our projects and feel good by supporting a good cause.
